Reliability and Risk Analyses of Power Systems

The power systems are affected by the rapid integration of renewable power sources and the phase-out of large base-load units. These changes are resulting into new challenges, and therefore, new research questions:

• Is the power system reliability changing?
• Is the resilience of the power system affected?
• How can we mitigate the potential risks to security of supply?

The RRE lab adresses these research questions using advanced modeling techniques and approaches.
